‘Invalid Object’ when trying to change walk height.

I built an underground gym and spa in my build. I have stairs that go from a 3 step high platform upstairs, down to the basement which I had to raise fairly high to stop the outline of the stairs getting a horrible grey line around it. So in order to make the downstairs useable height wise, I changed the walls to medium height. And now I want to change them back to short walls but I keep getting the error message ‘invalid object’.

I deleted that underground section of my build then went over to my outdoor pool to change the height back to short and it said the same thing. If I make the walls tall in the basement area, I can’t change them back to medium either, same error message ‘invalid object’ . Any ideas on how to fix it?

Just a guess without seeing what the build looks like, but it is probably the stairs.  When you change the wall heights, the stairs will change to accommodate the new wall height.  If there is an object in the tiles that stair reconfiguration needs so it can place properly, you will get that or a similar error message.  Walls and objects around the stairs on both floors will cause it so you need to look on both floors involved.  So I suggest, before you change the wall height, delete the stairs and once the room height is changed to what you want it to be, then put the stairs back.  You might have to rearrange walls and objects to get them back in.  In the case of the pool, you might have to delete and replace that too.

It any of that doesn't work, if you post a few screenshots of what the build looks like, it would be helpful to help you further.  And if you are willing to upload the build to the Gallery, I or another helper can take a look at it to see if we can find what is causing the issue.  Just let us know here what the lot name is so we can find it on the Gallery.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately having deleted all the stairs, both up and down, and the pool, it still won’t change height. I actually deleted everything that is underground including fountains nearby and still no luck.
I then went to save the lot up my library so I could upload to the gallery and it won’t save, and it’s not because my library is full, as I saved another plot right afterwards which saved fine. I even went back in to the library and deleted a load of stuff just in case but it still won’t save.
And I don’t think pictures will help as I’m on console and I think taking pictures off the tv won’t really be terribly good! I am happy to try it if you think it would be worth it, but I think maybe somethings just gone a bit wrong with my plot!

That is strange that it won't save to your library.  Does it give you any type of error message?

And I missed this before but you said you had a 3 step platform at the top of the stairs.  Is this a platform you placed there or are you just talking about the intermediate platform that shows up when you use a bent stair?  A platform will cause errors like what you are getting so if you did use a platform, then try deleting that and see if you can save the lot then.

    Hope this helps.

Nope, no error message. The saving wheel thingy spins for ages then I go to my library and it’s not there. I’ve tried searching for it as well and no luck. It’s happened to me once before and there was no way round it.

I shall try to delete the platform and see if that does it. Though I changed the walk height upstairs to see if I had the same problem, which I did, I can make them taller but cannot make them shorter again afterwards.
