adventure awaits getaway bug

when i tried to send my sims kids off to camp i got this popup when they got to camp and it wouldnt go away it kept saying they had no days left of the getaway and to extend it but even when i click extend it kept asking to extend it still wouldnt go away, i had to cancel the getaway and take off the child mindset option i had on the getaway to see if that helped and it did but it wouldnt work with it on , so the child mindset option is usless if it cant be used and when going on a getaway any sims left at home their needs still decrease which is hard to balance going back and fort between two houses the household left behind should have their needs frozen while your at a getaway with the other sims from that household it be so much easier

  • Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, please do a "vanilla" test:  Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. This will let you know if a mod or CC item is your cause. If it is, see Mod & CC Issues: START HERE If it still doesn't work, please head to Bug Reports.

Note that increasing household size about 8 will ALWAYS cause limitations in the game. This might just be one of them.

I had a similar issue with the fitness retreat, Revive and Thrive.  It was not related to a trait, but kept telling me there were only eight beds. I went and counted because the preset has three staff and six guests by default. It has more than enough beds for that.  I loaded back into the family I was playing, tried again, and it worked.

I later loaded a different save to play, got a pop up suggesting I do Love Highland and accepted but chose to "go later." Manually traveled to the lot and had no issue. This was an old save with mods as well.

I'm not sure I understand the household size question. Both households used were of 1 sim. The initial save did have a second sim at one point but was moved out before I even installed the new EP

cgennaro1 Please try this and let me know if it persists, and whether that's only in an old save or also in a new one:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop and rename it.
    2. Run a Game Repair in the EA App. (If you use Steam, the equivalent is Verify Integrity.)
    3. Launch Sims 4. You should get no list of mods on launch, and you should have no option to load a previous save. Reset your Options.
    4. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

If that works, start putting old content back:

    1. Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select an older save to test.
