I'm so sick and tired of this game forcing updates, only for it to break right after. I’ve never dealt with anything like this. I love The Sims 4, but it's gotten ridiculous; every time I finally update all my mods, I get maybe one day of play before something else goes wrong. You’d think a billion dollar company could manage to keep their game stable. Without mods, it’s honestly just boring and unplayable.
The moment you install mods you are entirely responsible to keep them organized and updated. This goes for ANY game. If the game updates every 1 day or every 3 months is your responsibility to keep your modded stuff up to date. Mods that break with updates has nothing to do with game stability. They are expected to break (specially UI and script mods) due to their very own nature.

we should be able to opt out of updates completely

These forums are much easier to sort through without meaningless and unhelpful lectures, thanks.

If you know mods are broken just checks either posts about broken mods, or discord servers like Sims After Dark, or use the 50/50 method to track the ones that are broken. This are very well known things by know. Your ranting is not helping anyone either.
And yes, the forums are way easier to sort through without meaningless and pointless rant about something that we all know from the get go when we install mods. Thanks for understanding- talk_simlish_2me4 months agoSeasoned Traveler
what did this response add? was it helpful in any way? or are you just a big moronic bully trying to feel special? this is a forum to talk about sims related topics. this person had something to say about the sims, a relevant issue to bring to the attention of ea and other players. if someone doesn't want to read this thread they have the free will to scroll right on past. why is everyone so freaking obsessed with "clean" forums with no posts or information? its the internet, there are billions of people on it, there's going to be lots of post made by those people. if you don't like, get off the internet. if you have a helpful response to add to this thread, post that, otherwise mind your business and scroll past.
hope this helps 😘

My mods are updated and organized. This has nothing to do with the fact that Maxis constant updates are an issue. Maxis needs to take care because at this point, they are very much dependent on modders. Why do you think they now take such a lax attitude toward what use to be a point of contention on "pay sites". In addition, a lot of their ideas are now coming from modders. The cooking mods being a good example. I agree with others, you are not the police of the forums, and your unwanted comments could be kept to yourself.
