Update: I have learned that this issue is only happening in a particular save. I do not want to lose this save as it is a legacy/beloved save.
Is there a way to save the family and have them keep their memories/relationships/skills but put them in a new save?

@Thatgirlchizzy The issue typically is a result of changing game time speed with either MC Command Center or a different mod. The solution is to set game time speed back to normal. Eventually, the syncing will become normal again, but it can take several days of gameplay. Game time speed mods do come with a warning that they break some parts of gameplay.
Okay Ty, I just wish I knew about the downsides before changing the time.
