Cant get my Sims on the in game computer Sims4

I cant get my sims on the computer and it keeps showing footprints with an explanation mark yes i am new at this game please help I've even removed the chair to try and for some reason STILL can't get on the dang thing

Such footprints show up when the sim is unable to reach the computer desk. Move this desk to another place and make sure there is a clear path for it. You can also check the wall to where the desk is attached and if there are any decorations, remove them.

In addition to what @kreatora said, you should also look at what you have on the desk with the computer. It will happen with some things that will fit but still block the computer. Try removing everything on the desk and leave the computer and see if that is it. Then try placing things on the desk again. Make sure you have MOO off when you do.

you could also try telling the sim to sit in the chair first, then tell them to use the computer. If this works you can keep the desk where it is with all the items on it but you'll have to do it this way every time. At least the sim won't autonomously Troll Teh Forums haha

Note that removing the chair is part of the problem. Sims can't use the computer while standing. Make sure you have a chair that has slotted into the desk or table right in front of the computer.
