CC clothes - deleting part of a sim?

Hi y'all!

I'm attempting to model a helmet type thing that essentially replaces the sim's head. At the moment, my helmet clips with the original head. Is there a way to delete the head or make it invisible? I know that some CC shoes delete the original feet, for example, but I don't know how to do it.
