cc is showing up in start up menu but not in game

I am fairly new to sims and cc and mods so any help would be awesome! I've been trying to download cc and it seems like only the clothing I've downloaded won't show up. Hairstyles and make up show up...

@01021967 are your "enable custom content" checkbox checked on the game options>others? Sometimes when the game updates, the checkbox is automatically unchecked.
