Child sim not in school

So I just aged my child sim up and on their job/school menu it says this sim doesn't go to school. Its not a bug because on the business menu of his phone it said join school so he can but I'm confus...

    @lucybarnes1163 That sounds like a mod. I know some mods that allow you to have children either quit school or go to some sort of custom school will default to starting unenrolled.
