dating is broken

Whenever another sim askes the currently played sim out on a date; no date goals show up, no matter what you do the date will fail, and the other sim will hate your sim. Once again Maxis seems to think it's funny to make sure sims, who according to the games logic should like each other, do not get along and it ruins the game. This most recent patch is awful. The game is such a chore to play right now because the logic seems to be busted, sims just stand around doing nothing, and things like dating not working, certain object (like cross-stitching) have to be placed in so weird goldilocks zone to be usable...
