Eyedropper

Hi!

I didnt see any solution here ans elsewhere in the internet so I hope my question is fine. 

Since a while im getting a problem with the EYEDROPPER (E) Tool here and then - its rly annoying when it happens. 
So basically i press E or choose the Tool with my mouse and click on a object i would like to copy my screen is freezing for a half minute. Just freezing, no white screen or anything else. 
I repaired the game twice. I checked if the problem occurs on another lot which is not the case. 
As i mentioned the problem just popping up out of nowhere for no reason but also disappears after a while. 
Im using the TOOL Mod by TwistedMexi but i also didnt find anyone with that problem. The mod was also disabled and it didnt change anything. 
I also tried to remove the build im currently working on and add it again which didnt solve my problem. 
Maybe someone can give me a answer to that and had maybe the same expirience with it.

    I think that's just pretty standard lag. The pause is while it's loading the part of the catalog where the item you eyedroppered is from. 30 seconds is admittedly a bit long, but I suppose if you have a lot of CC and/or are building on an elaborate lot...?

    Which lot are you having problems on?

    I'm having same problem right now, roughly 15 seconds though, much longer than my normal.  Occasionally, the screen goes white for maybe half a second and I think it's going to crash, then comes back, but mostly its just frozen for an extended period of time.  Only started today. Not affected by number of items on the lot, since I had maybe 5 items and an empty shell I was about to start working on. 

    I'm currently trying to build on one of the 30x20 lots in Brindleton Bay. I tried one of the bigger lots near the lower left of Brindleton Bay with one of the items I used the eyedropper tool on, and had zero problems.  This lot had no sims living there, so I tried the other 30x20 lot that has a full house and sims living there, no issues. 

    Minor update: the search bar seems slower on this lot too

    I suddenly have this issue as well :/ It was not a problem for me until the latest update, I don't have CC, I have mods like MCCC and TOOL, BBB but I always had them and it was never a problem to use any tools. Now it is driving me crazy.

    Edit: I fixed it - apparently I unknowingly had so many items in the household inventory (I normally sell all before moving in the Sim), and it apparently maxes the eyedropper tool lag a lot.

    I disagree. I don't have this bug 100% of the time - so it's pretty obvious when it is happening. I even get a little blue spinny wheel

    I don't really use build cc - and bbb and tool are currently needing updates so I don't use them currently. I have mods in my mods folder, but none are build related.

    MadameNordica If you have issues with an empty mods folder, you can post in  Gameplay Questions and Issues. But test with no mods or CC at all, not just focusing on which ones should interfere.
