Files randomly becoming corrupted, "application not responding" error

I've had this issue for at least a week now, even before the Lovestruck update. My game ONLY opens with no cc/mods at all or select folders. I deleted all my cc and started fresh by redownloading wha...

I tried this, and it seems like sometimes the game opens with ALL the cc/mods and works just fine. but then the next day it goes back to not launching despite not adding any new files. Sometimes, the singular mod/cc I add to the new mods folder works and then ends up not working. I honestly am being driven mad by this...
