Help

FIRST OF ALL, I AM ON STEAM. I DO NOT USE ORIGIN AND DON'T EVEN TOUCH THE EA APP.

I am unbelievably sick of dealing with this. I posted one or two other times asking for help and they said it's an old mod issue and that I should come here instead.  Someone said to "repair the game" and according to someone else, I did just that and nothing happened. 

Sims 4 > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files
And then it loads and says "All 1429 files successfully validated" it says nothing else and the game still isn't fixed.

According to someone on Answers HQ, this is how you repair the game through Steam. But nothing is fixed at all. 

Another thing that started happening at the exact same time as this, any time the loading screen pops up for any reason (Ex: Going to another lot, going into CAS, etc) and/or also leaving build mode, I can't see any of the gameplay overlay. Like the sim in the bottom left, the bar in the bottom right gone, top left and top right also gone. And the game has a red border like time is paused even when it's not. Another odd part of this, I can still move around. I don't think I have a cursor when this happens, but I can pause game, save, speed up time, and everything moves as if I'm simply watching without interacting.

I've even tried getting rid of the mods that would have caused it.

Any help?
