How to add foundations ?

Hey everyone,

Posting here because I used to put foundations under my houses all the time and now, I can't seem to find out how to do that anymore.

Most people say that I have to adjust the height of the room with the cube appearing in the middle of it when selected. My problem is : this cube isn't showing ! Apparently it was removed, and I've seen people saying you now need to adjust the height of the foundations via the up & down arrows that now appear in the little windows that shows up when you select a room. I do have these arrows, but when I click them, the floor seems to be brought up and down but I never see any foundations appear, plus the fact the ceilling doesn't move along with the floor so it just makes my doors & windows disappear because there's no room left for them. I can't seem to find any solution to this.

Thank you guys in advance!

From what you describe, it sounds like you started with a platform rather than a flat foundation.  They work a little differently and it is best to build with a foundation, raise it and then put any platforms on top of the foundation if you are going to use platforms in the build.

To start a build, I always use the use the room tool to build a room.  Then click on the room and there will be a double-sided arrow in the middle of the room pointing up and down.  Drag the arrow up and you get a foundation.

    Hope this helps.

@CGrant56 I used the room tool, that's why I didn't understand why it didn't work. But now that I relaunched my game to take a screenshot to show you, that freaking cube is here. I'm really sorry for that, maybe there was a glitch because I checked several times before creating this post, I had no cube, and now I'm just looking stupid D: Let's just call this topic solved and pretend it never existed.
