I have this problem too, I accidentally canceled the pop-up of my Sim going to the casting so it said she failed and didn't get the role, but in the job window the time for the casting stayed. I can't cancel the gig and changing agencies doesn't do anything either. Even after leaving the acting career and starting it again she's still stuck with the same gig.
Guess that was it for my Sim's great acting career....

Hey, so mine did the same thing and I was super bummed but I did find a way. If you don’t want to use cheats this is not for you then but if you do you will have to press shift I think it is (where you have like the cheat needs and stuff options) and there ghouls be a choice that says “Career Gigs Picker (Debug)...” click this and choose one out of acting!
