have observed this thing. I am using iCloud. Once I copy the mods from one folder back to mods folder, the game starts up but iCloud syncs so few hours later the game stops responding

Thanks. So iCloud is the problem. Do you have iCloud Drive enabled to store your Documents folder in the cloud? Do you have Optimise Storage enabled?
