I really need help trying to figure out this issue. I have seen numerous other threads with the same issue, but no matter what I try, I am not having any form of success. I am simply trying to download mods for my Sims 4 game that I first opened back in 2015/16 (can't remember which). I decided to pick the game up again after a while and decided to try and add some fun mods to make my game more interesting. Sure enough, when I tried to find the folder that would allow me to add the mods in question, it wasn't there. I have uninstalled and redownloaded the game already, and have relaunced my game as well. The folder does not exist on my computer
I use Origin to play the Sims on my Mac. The game only launches from Origin. Attempts to open the app directly on my computer lead to the game simply not opening. I am at the end of my rope on this issue. I need help please

Can you please post a screenshot of your in-game Options > Other settings.
Is your game saving ok?
Where is your game installed? The exact location please although I don't need to know your Mac user account name 🙂

I am having a similar issue and am literally STRUGGLING! Okay so, I updated Sims4 today on my mac, when I went back on it was so weird, my sims take so long to do a task, I put one of them to have a shower and it just stood there and didn't, their hygeine is all so low because they won't shower or eat or even speak to one another. I thought maybe some of my mods are out of date, so I went to look for my mods folder, but it was not there. I tried deleting the sims4 folder but after research realised that was the wrong thing to do so got it out of the bin and put it back into EA folder. I saw that if you reload the game the mods folder should come back up but it hasn't. I have shut down. and restarted my mac but nothing works. I don't physically understand how when I load sims4 it tells me about 15 mods I have enabled, yet there is no mods folder anywhere on my mac?! Like where is it?! Please help me, I just wanna play :'(

So your Mods are loading ok but you don't think you have a Mods folder? Please provide the exact full file path of the Sims 4 folder where you are looking for the Mods folder.

- popcorn22302 years agoSeasoned TravelerHi, @molliegarnett1
I'm not an expert when it comes to fixing The Sims 4 - my game is very dodgy - but have you tried repairing the game? Then it might recognise there is not Mods folder and repair it. Hope this helps!
