Hello! I was wondering if anyone could possible tell me what's wrong with my game and or cc. For some context I recently downloaded the sims onto my Mac and onto an external hard drive. When trying to play the game with cc, they always show up as corrupted. I feel like Ive tried everything I have found to fix it and I can't seem to figure out what's doing it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, allowed the game to generate a new mods folder, deleted all my mods and re downloaded them, repaired the game and deleted things like localthumbcache but it seems like nothings working... every single piece of cc is said to be corrupted even if its newly downloaded

@eleaf14 On doing some research another mac user reported similar some time ago. All the 'corrupt files seemed to show starting with "._" but on looking at mod files the "._" was not visible.
Are the mods still on the external drive? Is it PC friendly drive also?
The suggestion there was the saying :
"The reason it seems to be happening is due to the ex fat/fat 32 windows compatible drive formats. When you transfer a file from Mac to a drive with one of those formats it changes something in the file itself that can’t easily be rectified."
easy solution to download mods / cc to the MAC drive and keep on only the mac drive.

I would HIGHLY suggest to ask if this is accurate or reasonable in the MAC board 🙂

Mod issues belong here in the Mod issues forum, regardless of platform. There is a stickied thread specifically for Mac users https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/INFO-Using-Mods-CC-on-a-Mac/td-p/13274366

@BluebellfloraI know.. not telling them wrong place, but to verify ( note edit adding the info link prior to yours ) with other experienced mac users. I found a reference, but I am not a MAC pro, so couldn't hurt to ask yonder..

Hi! Thank you both for your help! It seems that I had to reformat my drive for it to work and for the mods to work! Standard smile
