MCCC

I am brand new to mods and have never used them until today. I installed the MCCC mod and am really enjoying it. Does anyone have any tips that I should know? Any specific setting I should change? I don’t know much about it.
  • This probably won't be what you want to hear, but it's honestly best to just go through the entire documentation and look through the settings yourself in order to have the best experience with the mod. The most outstanding thing about the mod is the amount of control it gives the player through its settings. Nobody's going to be able to tell you what settings will work best for you as that's something only you would be able to figure out.

If you have something specific in mind that you wish to accomplish but are unsure how to go about it, then that's a different story and you should feel free to ask for help with that. :)
  • The first things I do are:

    - Add YA to Ages To Run for both pregnancy and marriage.
    - Change Pregancy Duration to 6.
    - Turn down the auto Pregnancy Percentage for longer life spans or no aging otherwise you’ll have too many.
    - Turn on NPC auto marriages by raising Marriage Percentage from 0.
    - Turn on all birth and marriage notifications.

After that it’s a matter of combing through the text file (or the in-game menus if you prefer) and making changes as needed.

That doesn’t happen by default as far as I know.
  • Hello :)
It is great that you are now using MCCC mod,
This link thread provides help for the mod. If you have questions about the settings, you can post about it there, and there are helpful simmers there that will help you.

  • What setting do I change if I don’t want teens getting adults pregnant or vice versa?
  • I received a notification that one sim had gotten another one pregnant. When I looked she was an adult, not even young adult and he was a teen. I had to go into CAS and age him up cause that’s just icky!
  • I just got MCCC too and I love it, I forget exactly where it is but somewhere in the settings it allows for only "same age" pregnancies.

One thing I like to do is decreasing aging so I can play with the families for longer. I also like the to auto-pay their bills haha!
  • I updated MCCC not sure what I had the settings on previously, actually thought I did a clean install of MCCC, however checking in on some unplayed families, I found some real interesting family trees. Lots of half brothers and sisters all over lol. I think I should take photos of the family trees I might need to know who is related to who at some point.

Again, as @rosemow suggested, there is a help thread for MCCC here:

or you can ask questions directly at the MCCC Discord:
