Menu at start up is jumbled up due to an obvious game coding error
Running Sims 4 on a MacBook Pro 16". Recently downloaded the latest update. Was having issues like everyone else prior to doing so... and now this! I can't even load my games!

@KeepCalmNancy Do you have mods on? If so, you need to update mods after the patch update.
I already updated the mods, and even removed most of them. I repaired the game, and now this is happening...
OMG please tell me everything wasn't deleted!
I can't even click into any of the households, venues, or anything. Everything literally got restored to the default buildings, and none of the ones I created are no longer there!
@KeepCalmNancyI am sure it's not deleted can you check your Electronic Arts folder and then check your saves, If your households are still there? And did you also delete the localthumbfile after you installed them? I am not familiar with Mac since I only use Windows but I am sure.

Try reading these forums if this actually helps Forum 1: MacOS Troubleshooting If you have Cloud Storage on, Sims 4 wouldn't be able to read the old saves and your progress and these similar problems with these forums too (Forum 2: Can't interact with Households / Forum 3: Lost everything in Update / Forum 4: Orange Exclaimation Signs in Lots) I am hoping you can get your saves back and your progress 🙂
and about the orange exclamation points in your lot, it actually means "typically indicate the lot is incomplete due to missing objects" and from this Reddit post too
