I have recently purchased the for rent expansion. I started building a generational home in Brindleton Bay (Hounds Head, I demolished it and rebuilt on it). 64x64 lot.
I switched the lot type to residential rental. It's still 'under construction' but I finished one area, that I want to convert into a rental unit. I went in to do so, and it will not let me. The drop down has no units available and when I try to add a unit, it is greyed out and states existing unit has no rooms assigned.
I ended up getting my sim to sell the property and repurchase it, but that didn't work. I went into the build through manage worlds and that didn't work either.
I repaired the game, that didn't work either.
I have disabled my mods and that didn't resolve the issue.
I have saved the property to my library - but I literally just reset my entire Sims saves recently because one of my save files was corrupt so I had to wipe the entire sims 4 folder. This is a fresh new save under that new folder. So that really shouldn't be the issue.
I have no other ideas on how to fix this issue.
Additional Info:
- I am using a PC
- I have all the expansion packs, most of the blue packs, not a ton of stuff things, and like 2 kits.
- My graphic cards as updated
- I did attempt to toggle back to 'residential' but the game would not let me, greyed it out.

I decided since I saved it in my gallery, I would just try it on another 64x64 lot. It fixed the issue. It's now in Chestnut ridge, and I was able to add units! This was done while still 'in construction' but the units in question were completed. I didn't want to get too deep into the build without testing that I could create units.
How were you able to fix the blank drop down unit menu? I’m trying to set rooms to specific units but the drop down menu is completely blank.
