I'm having the same problem and I waited for the gig to pop up and then went to the lot with my Sim by clicking on the "Join" button.

And yet can't seem to complete the task ...

Change to the work tab then follow the list of tasks.

    For everyone with this issue

    How high photography skill do you have ? Could you try if it works with a Sim that has none or close to none ?

      @crinrict Also, level 10 photography skill because i wanted great before and after photos when i started the career.

      @crinrict level 10 photography. i still cant get to know the sims likes and dislikes and have it checked off.
