[MOD RELATED] Food Stall/Festival vendors Sells Produce only

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.77.146.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything but Vampires and Spooky Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to any University commons and try to use the food stall that serves as a buffet style table when the vendor shows
What happens when the bug occurs? I attempted to buy something or get food. It will only give you the option to purchase produce.
What do you expect to see? It should offer the option to purchase a food plate not produce.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I do not know which patch made the change.

Food stand at University is not functioning correctly. Does not offer option to buy food plate. Offers produce.

Hi there! I had this exact same issue, and after hours of messing with my mods I narrowed it down to the following:
Custom content food stalls will break your save file, even if you remove your mods after. If you have loaded the game with the custom food stalls and have since saved with that CC still in your game, the save file remains broken forever.
What I did to fix it:
Delete any CC food stalls from your mods folder
Delete localthumbcache.package from your Sims 4 installation folder
Open the game, and recover/revert your save file to the last time you saved since before installing the the My Wedding Stories pack***. You can do this in the "Load Game..." menu by clicking on the small icon with the round arrow on your save.
Load that save, and the stalls should now be working.
***side note: I had not played my game since before the MWS patches, so I cannot say whether reverting back to after the patches but before MWS is enough. You might have to revert even further to before the patches.
I hope you won't lose too much playtime by reverting your saves. Sadly I did not find a way to fix saves that had already been opened and saved again with the broken CC + new game pack installed. Hope this helps! 🙂

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? go to a festival of snowy escape
What happens when the bug occurs? festival vendor only selling produce
What do you expect to see? i wanna see festival vendors of snowy escape selling the food they are supposed to sell

@dovakin_auditore This is usually mod related. Do you have this issue if you remove your mods and delete the localthumbcache file ?

Hi @dovakin_auditore

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)

Tray Folder

Screenshots/Videos/Custom music

Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)

Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....

ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.

Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@dovakin_auditore Try creating a new Windows user then and start a new save to see if that works (for testing)

@Kitkatt621 Have you tried repairing your game in Origin? The vendors all sell the appropriate items in my game, I'm playing in a mod/cc free save (i.e. I moved my mod folder to my desktop vs just disabling mods in the game options) to test the new pack, but I also repaired the game after I installed it.
