I am on, Mac model (13-inch, Mid 2012 MacBook Pro) Processor (2.5 GHz Intel Core i5) Memory (4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3) Graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB) Operating System (macOS Sierra Version 10.12.3) Official EA EPs/SPs/GPs installed (Get To Work, Spa Day, Luxury Party Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff) Do you have antivirus or clean up apps installed? The whole process deleted game, saves, mods, the mod folder would not delete even though nothing showed in it. I moved the mod folder to the desktop and that did the trick. There were files in that folder that were hidden.

Thanks for sucha a detailed post.

Sadly, from what you are describing, it seems your mods are not compatible with the game, and that's why you are having issues. If the mods are giving you issues, you will need to play without them. I am having the same issue, I removed all the mods, same problem, I uninstalled everything to do with sims and installed a fresh copy no mods and the same screen comes up.

Hi @baer2112,

Is your error message exactly the same? Please, check it and let us know in case any of the numbers is different 😉

Could you try to follow these steps?:

Close Origin completely

Go to Documents \ Electronic Arts

Rename The Sims 4 folder to The Sims 4 old or something similar.

Open Origin and try to launch your game again.

Still the same issue?

I tried you steps and they worked! But it also deleted all my cc, lucky I have all my cc in a folder. I tried adding the cc to the folder called" The sims 4 old" but it didn't work. I have used cc for a long time, ( Yes mods are enabled) 😢

Hi @ILoveCats2020,

So the game works unless you introduce your Mods folder? In that case, you have incompatible mods in that folder, and you will be able to fix your game by finding the faulty mods 🙂

is there a faster way to find bad cc i have a mod conflict detecter but it takes hours.

Move all the CC out of your Mods folder then back in in small batches, testing the game to see if it launches after adding each batch. When it stops working you know you have incompatible CC in that batch.

Didn’t work for me
