[MOD/CC RELATED] Sims have a shattered/buggy face

    For Sims whose faces are broken like this:

    Current known mod/CC causes:

    • Cien – No EA Lashes v6 and v7: all and Toddlers only
    • Escaping Potplant – No EA Eyelashes (epp-noEAeyelashesUPDATE)
    • evoxyr
      • ear presets
      • wavy baby present nose 03
    • faaeish
      • Cherub nose and lips toddler presets
      • Pear lips toddler preset

    Possible other causes:

    NOTES:

    • Removing the cause might not solve your problem right away. You might also need to update your Sim in CAS with a Maxis face preset.
    • If you're on console or are a complete vanilla player and have never had CC or mods when you had this save, please head to Bug Reports. Otherwise, please start by assuming your issue is mod/CC-caused.
    • Kijiko's No EA Eyelashes has not been a cause of this.
    • If a 50-50 narrows the issue to a mod not mentioned here, please let us know!

    New Bugfix Mod- UPDATED

    • Crilender – Toddler Modifiers Remover  This mod replaces an earlier Crilender bugfix. It's designed to work to fix results from one of the creator's own presets but should help with other preset-caused problems too. NOTE: This is NOT for preventing the problem. Use this mod only if you have a broken Sim to fix.

    Batchfix

    A batchfix in SIms4Studio can be done but remove default replacements first.

@darkangel00748 Your issue looks very similar to the issue that someone else solved by editing the Sim in CAS using a different face preset. Can you try that? Also, is it okay in a new save or a new Sim?

    @darkangel00748 A couple of glitch-clearing steps that I can't recall if we tried with you yet:

    1. Clean folder: Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options. Add old content back into new folders after testing a new save.

    2. Game Repair (also in a clean folder)

    Oy. Okay. Leaving that folder clean - no saves, tray, or mods - try a Game Repair next.

    @luthienrising I did everything under the sun and nothing worked. I'm sorry if I sound bratty and I know some simmers are having this same problem and I appreciate your patience and time trying to help me and others.

    So sorry we haven't found you a solution yet, @darkangel00748 ! The best option left at this point might be to uninstall and reinstall. Move your Saves, Tray, Mods, and anything else you want to save (like Screenshots) to your desktop first, and delete the whole The Sims 4 folder.

    Hey were you able to find out what was causing it for you? This only just happened to me. I'm setting up my new laptop and I was just downloading presets and body sliders and while I was testing (just the 2) out in my game it did exactly as yours did in the picture. I can't tell if it's the presets themselves or if it's the body sliders for toddlers messing it up. Let me know if you wanna compare things so far. Since I don't have a bunch downloaded figured it might be a good place to start.
