- You may want to check out these: Try for Baby in Larger Households (XML tuning) and Full House (script mod) – see note in the upload description of the latter (“Once you go beyond 9 sims, you can no longer use Manage Household in that save as it may sometimes crash” etc); it may still be interesting to look at how it’s done. No source included unfortunately, but maybe one can track it down elsewhere (that user has their own blog too).
- Both is probably possible, but I can't guarantee it as it was a while since I looked at the files (and I wasn't specifically looking for this). How much work it is to make it work is another question though. I'd predict it would take maybe a weekend to get it working, including researching the files and tracking down what to change. But that is just my quite rough and likely inaccurate estimation of the situation.
Also this depends a lot on the skill level of the one tackling the task. Can go from hours to months. - The CAS code is written in C++, and is not readily moddable. There are some tuning values that affect C++ behavior, but they are very limited in scope.

You might be able to get someplace with that, but if there are validations in C++, then you'd be stuck.- Yeah, that was what I thought, I might have been a bit to optimistic in my judgement.

That limit might be modifiable in the UI files, but I'm not sure. It is easier to violate that limit by modding Python scripts. I believe mods of that nature already exist.- I was unable to fine a XML tuning for the "move in" when in "Manage world". When the house hold is at 8 sims the" move in" is grayed out. And yes i have the Full House and Try for Baby in Larger Households mods installed.
