my items in build mode disappear when i click on them on the buy screen thing..

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by clicking on the dots in EA app.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Hey I'm having this same problem. I've removed some mods but still can't find what's causing it. What mod did you remove?

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? You could go into a household, go into buy mode, and try to place something.
What happens when the bug occurs? "... items start disappearing when I click on them or try to drag them out of the buy screen on build mode. Sometimes it’ll let me drag it out, but then it disappears less than a second later." User from another post, but I wanted to make a separate bug log.

Please describe the patch or change you made. It started happening after I installed GTW.

I did the whole folder refresh. The bug went away until I put in my save folder back in. if the  EA app would function today, I would  repair. still waiting for the EA app to work and obey my command. Bug is still there when mods are taken out. Bug comes back when saves are put back in.

I have folder refreshed

repaired

50/50

took saves out

put saves back in

tested vanilla again

nothing will get rid of this bug someone please help!!!

Same issue.  I tried repairing, took forever, no joy.

Not the best solution but this worked:

Launched game.

Loaded up my save. 

Saved my household and lot.

Closed the game.

Removed my saves.

I have premade saves filled with lots but never played so I took a base copy and put it in my save folder.  I'm assuming starting a new game would do the trick though.

Placed my lot where it was.

Pulled my family up.

Freerealestate on

Placed the family.

Issue resolved.
