I did feel like there was a dog bias, but eventually one or two people who are cat lovers did adopt cats. (Catarina Lynx adopted a new cat, as did a rando in Brindleton Bay.)
That said, it felt like:
Dog dog dog dog dog. Family oriented? Dog. Dog lover? Dog. Animal enthusiast? Dog. Dog dog dog dog dog...
...someone adopted a cat!!!
...dog dog dog...
Since I am, shall we say, cat-biased 😉 I definitely noticed a lack of cats! I've been playing for over a Sim year with four week seasons and... one or two cats.
Is this Bad Randomizer, No Biscuit, or is this ailurophobia? 😉 Only the Sims Team knows! 😉

- So it's not a bug, but the game sure favours dogs instead of cats. Thank you for your feedback. I will wait a few daysto see if other players have the same experience.
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@GiardiniDiMarzo It's hard to tell if it's a bug. In my eyes, just as children there are way to many pet adoption (one family adopted 4 dogs and a cat ... So while not a bug per se, it could still use some tuning
- @crinrict Yeah that too, I disabled first the children adoption (because there was too many children after a week) and then the pets adoption started (and now I have too many dogs) So yeah, it needs some tuning for sure.
