Oh, Now That Was Interesting …

I got wild and daring and added two new mods to my game. Meaningful Stories and Private Practice. I've also got MCCC and Road to Fame. I have enabled the "Teens Quit School" option using the MCCC mod, but then have my teens going to school, anyway, for now. Erik Cantrell is a hairbreadth away from becoming a Global Superstar in this re-reboot (I could likely 're' a few more times, but I've forgotten how many times I've had to restart.) But, I digress. Thing is he's held a C, but has left class a few times early, because he was booked to give a concert. :open_mouth: I've noticed, too, that his rating in school is poor. Yes, shocking, I know. But the lad has asked his parents if he could 'Adult Now', but they keep putting him off. (I seriously think, since there are four teens in their household, currently, that once they give the okay to one, they may have a revolt on their hands. ;) ) At any rate, since I just installed the Private Practice mod, I'm thinking it's the culprit.

You see, the time was 3 PM and all of the kids, including their Kid brother (Child) are still at school. I even double-checked when school was to let out for the day. Time went on, and still they are 'at school'. I'm thinking Detention?

So, given that Erik's concert clock has been way more generous than previously (he was given 17 hours to hold a concert, whereas it was always 6 hours) I brought him home. What do I get? A notice Erik has been fired from his job. I take that to mean a permanent suspension. :/ Heretofore, I've been pondering do I keep him in school until uni is released, or do I just keep with the notion that he quits school to properly pursue his profession? I guess I may have received an answer, but it sure is weird.

I may exit the game without saving to see what happens. Should it happen again, I will uninstall Private Practice, (as much as I hate to) as that is the newest and things played normally yesterday with Meaningful Stories. Oh, well.

That was interesting.

    Hi @GalacticGal!

Reason why your superstar, got fired from school is because his grades drop to low and his performance was too low on the bar. This only happens when you enable quit school because the game sees the high school as a job and so when you get to low on Performance you get fired from that job.

It is just a function that you had to deal with if you want to have teens quit school.

It shocked me, When it happened to my three teenagers, but I just let it happen acted like, school just wasn’t for them. Two teens got jobs and the third due to another mod that that you learn skills online on your phone they took “online classes “

I hope this helps you, happy simming!

LOL, yeah, his grade was a solid C but his performance was low. Probably too many Sim days in a row. But, I had him resume school and I used cheats to boost his grade. Yeah, my name is GalacticGal and I am a cheater …
