Posing mod makes my sims pose really far apart?

I downloaded this group pose today. I got everyone set up, but when they pose, their bodies suddenly move away from one another's despite the statues being stacked close together. What am I doing wrong?

    I just tried it and that is what you have to do. You have to stack them.
