New subscribers: You can expect multiple new-post notifications per day for the first days after a pre-EP patch, especially if there’s news about particularly popular mods or mods that are outdated in a game-breaking way.

And to all mod/CC users: Please be patient with creators and give them space to do what they need to do. Most also have school, jobs, family responsibilities, health issues, or other things that often have to come before testing and updating their mods. Those who do mod-clearing (not all do) will get to it when they can. The same is true for mod updates, and those are not always straightforward. In the past, we’ve seen modders give being nagged by Simmers as as a reason they finally quit modding. Don’t be that person. Consider, while you wait, starting a new mod-free game or getting some other things on your to-do list done.

NOT a Mod Problem

• Customer-service NPCs (such as bartenders, librarians) not spawning at venues and not hirable and you own Get Famous. This is not caused by mods. It’s a bug that occurs when “Sims Begin Opted Out of Fame” is selected in Gameplay Options. WORKAROUND: Untick the box, load the venue to let the NPC generate at their workplace, then you can tick the box again.
