I'm playing on normal lifespan age settings. I haven't tried another backup but when I look at past saves all of the ones I made after the initial save I keep reverting back to, the teen turns into a child in CAS again. I hope this can be fixed. This is my fifteenth generation. ☹️

Before the last big update cause I knew they wouldn’t work. I don’t plan on putting them back on.

And you would be completely right. This is a thing. After removing the mod, the issue was gone and I could save as normal. I recommend anyone else having a problem like this to contact TURBODRIVER and make him aware of this problem. Until then, you'll either have to stop playing the game or deal with the bug. It seems to affect both 170g and 170i.

@KingmiamiKdn I'm talking about the adult mod. Ugh, stupid censorship.

Im playing with version 172.8 and having the issue. I have also seen multiple complaints and questions about this issue on facebook groups from console players (who obviously cant play with mods) and I tested by taking the mod out of my folder and still had the problem. Yes, I deleted all cache including localthumecache. This is very frustrating. Did you have to remove any other combination of mods as well? Are you playing with the new high school years back? I bought the new high school pack and the chaos started after I downloaded it. 

i’m so glad i’m not the only one having this issue lol i’ve been so exited to play w the new pack, playing for hours goes to save the game, next day everything’s gone even tho i continually save when i’m playing. i was so sad lol makes me not wanna play until they release an update to fix it

yeah i don't think this is mod related. i went and updated the mod that was said to be causing the issue and im still having the problem. i started a new save and it was morning i went to the map to build a lot and i went in cas to make over some townies saved twice and quit. when i reopened the game it was 12 am on the same day. the time went backwards some how. anyways basic stuff i set up for my own sims have been reverted back to before they were set. the towines i redid are still changed and my build is still there. I really think this is an issue with the game itself.

Agreed. I'm having this issue and I'm not using any mods, only cc for clothes and items. It's every time I go into CAS either through testing cheats or through the "plan outfits" option, it goes straight back to the start of my game session and I lose all progress.

Is anyone experiencing this issue when playing the game without mods? I've noticed that many people still mention the use of MCCC, and I, too, have been having this issue, but only when using MCCC. This is most likely due to the age span bug that's in the mod that the support team keeps blaming on EA. If anyone is not using MCCC and seeing this issue it would be interesting to know as I have not been able to duplicate this issue when running clean, mod free game.

I just experienced it again, and while it was probably connected to a mod, it was not adult mod. The thing is, yes, mods absolutely make it worse because the fact that the mods try to save things makes the game freak out even more. However, what it all seems to have in common is outfits. I suspect this is connected to the atrociously bad implementation of the Trendi system, and I find it very concerning that the moderators just moved this to "Mod issues", clearly signalling that Maxis thinks this is not their problem.

If you publish a game specifically designed to facilitate modding, and much of your profits actually rely on modders adding to and fixing the game to keep non-casual players happy (so that they then also promote the game to more casual but nonetheless profitable buyers), you need to make sure not to throw modders under the bus like this.

I miss the days when there was at least an attempt to sell products that worked when purchased.

Sorry, but I disagree that this is entirely a mod issue; have there not been any console players who reported this bug happening in their games? If there are, then how can this be a mod issue? Unless somehow console players can access mods, I fail to see how it is entirely the fault of mods alone.

If you are a console player who's affected, speak up!!

I'm not sure at this point if AHQ will even pay attention to this thread anymore now that it's dumped here, but any console players affected should speak their mind here if it'll get anyone to reconsider the ruling that it's solely a mod issue when console can't even access mods.

Hi I play on pc mostly but also Xbox, so i did some testing my self seeing what combinations of mods seem to cause this or platforms, so what i have come up with is that for PC: the bug goes away when i'm playing offline, or seems to MAYBE be something around deaderpool MCCC and i have gone through my whole mods file and added and tested every mod since this bug started and still have the bug mods or no mods on pc, FOR XB1 X it has the same cas bug where it resets to the previous save point before the high school update so no progress after is saved when you go to cas or manage worlds or quit like groundhog day, FOR XBOX SERIES X it has the same issues for XB1 X, thats my conclusion with my limited tech skills and testing skills. EDIT DID MORE XBOX TESTING if i start a new save after the high school update the default save point is where you move your new house hold into a new lot then start to play anything other that moving to what was already on that lot doesnt save. THIS COULD BE A MOD ISSUE BUT ALSO WITH THE SAVE ISSUE IN A GAME THAT SUPPORTS AND WANTS MODDING PLEASE DONT JUST GO TO BLAMING MODS IT ALSO SEEMS LIEKE A TYPICAL EA PUBLISHED GAME ISSUES BUG FILLED EVERY TIME THEY TOUCH IT AS SOON AS YOU BUY SOMETHING YOU ARE TURNED INTO A BETA TESTER FOR THEM PLEASE DO RELEASES THAT ARE FUN AND PLAYABLE GREAT GAME AND RECENT DLC PACK BUT CAN WE JUST PLEASE PLAY IT 

@EA_Solaire Please don't mark it as Fixed, is not a mod issue, there are several console players having the same issues. It's true that mods may make this issues more evident, but they're not the source of the bugs. What modders are doing with their fixes is workaround a game problem, and that's not fair, nor is blaming mods for these game bugs.

Hasn't it been said enough how this bug is affecting games where mods AREN'T being used?

I can't find my comment, but I am having a similar issue with my saves as well. Took out all mods from my save, cleared cache, issue stays, I am on PC with the latest patch. So regardless I have to start a new save and hope it works this time. Idk why it keeps putting me at Thursday in-game at the same time in the morning every time I save, regardless of when I last saved in the game AND the save itself.

Thread is bouncing around between mod issues and bug reports, can anyone say if it's a basegame bug?

I haven't had issue since cleanly removing adult mod (and starting new game to test) which in my game seems to be only thing triggering bug, wonder what other things are triggering it if it's basegame issue.
