Just echoing to say that this is still an issue not fixed by the latest patch and that no, they are not caused by mods contrary to some falsehoods that some players are spreading around social media.
Just also adding to say it is not fixed for me either. I played 2 days to check today and back to Saturday to restart again. its so inconsistent to I had one save in between that worked and held some build mode things i did but relationships developed in the meantime. gone.
It won't let me edit my post again, sorry. Prior to patch 1.90 on my last save I had since patch 1.89 I could save just fine. Now I try to save as and exit and it goes back to Thursday even if I went all the way to Monday. Then I try save and exit and same issue occurs.
Okay so I see it wasn't fixed after people saying it wasn't fixed for them and is reported still an issue so I'll be back looping again soon as I progress ugh figures...
I question how the save feature will be fixed if it doesn't produce an error like it should if it's sensitive to issues? The save feature IS indeed turning my game into a scrambled mess. Ah well.. I'm not a coder. :\
@paradiseplanet27 I don’t know if that’s completely true though. This happened to me after the latest patch and with updated Adult Mod. I took Adult Mod out of the mods folder, including the folder in the saved file. I also ended up using a back up save that I made before the sims patch came out. I lost a week of gameplay, but since removing Adult Mod I have not had the issue occur again. This is with at least 15 hours of gameplay including travel, CAS, build/buy, and saving and exiting. Maybe my saving grace was that I had a save file to revert to before the Groundhog Day happened? It also seems like the common denominator here is mods. I haven’t seen anyone on this thread say they don’t use mods at all or are playing on console. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m convinced that in my case Adult Mod was the reason why my game saved incorrectly. If it happens again without it I will be sure to update.
I have the same issue, I still had the issue after deleting Adult Mod, when I did, I re-added it.. if it is Adult Mod, that is so sad, I enjoy the game mainly because of Adult Mod. It’s the only way I have been able to maintain a poly-household. It’s bad enjough that I had to delete the broken traits mod I had, the game needs these to be dynamic and entertaining (at least for me. 🤷🏻♀️)
This issue is still present on the latest patch, I already tried EVERYTHING to fix this god damn issue and nothing works, the issue always come back, I'm losing all my progress the god damn game alwats resets the day to sunday 01am, even factory reseting the game doesn't fix it. 😡😡😡😡
Okay.. I lied.. it is Adult Mod. I removed it and I can save. My poly-household all despise eachother now. So if you have Adult Mod, remove it. I’m going to message them about the issue, I assume they are aware, but jic.
@Sansabirdanne Just because removing Adult Mod temporarily 'fixes' the issue, that doesn't mean it's a Adult Mod problem. There is something going on with the save system and I would guess it's more obvious with Adult Mod installed because Adult Mod has to do quite a bit of information saving compared to simpler mods. Now, I'm not saying it absolutely isn't Adult Mod, but Turbo has looked into it and has been very clear that it definitely isn't, and he should know the coding side pretty well by now.
Unfortunately, there appears to be a lot of magical thinking in this thread and that risks muddying the waters.
@SansabirdanneOh no! I’m sorry they’re all mad at each other! I’m playing without it for now, too, until Turbo can fix it. I enjoy it for making the game more dynamic, but the Groundhog Day save drove me crazy. My sims were in university at the time and it messed up their schedule, so I ended up using a week old save since removing the mod didn’t restore the previous Groundhog Day save. It prevented it from happening again, but the save was still messed up.

I appreciate your candor, I am super annoyed with all of this and am probably grasping, I know that, but this is the only thing I did that seems to have corrected the issue for the time being. I don't intend on continuing the game if I can't utilize Adult Mod, It's a fantastic mod, and I know they know what they are doing, I am sorry if I contributed to the murky water issue.
