Does anyone else's newborns duplicate at birth? How do you fix this? They end up being infants etc. with the same name but look totally different

If you use mods it is probably due to a broken mod. Remove your mods folder and delete localthumbscache.package from your The Sims 4 folder. After this try with a new newborn and if it's normal and not duplicating, the problem is in your mods. Then you can try to find out which one (50/50 method, there is a lot of guides for it) and update/delete it and it is fixed.
