From Today my Gshade won´t show up in game. Is anybody else having the same problem? I´ve tried reinstalling it multiple times but nothing works. edited title for visibility. -puzzlezaddict

Hey all! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We found that this issue was an unintended side effect of a recent update to the EA app and how it handles certain DLL types. Installing the latest available version of the EA app should resolve the problem; you also might need to reinstall your shader mods after updating the EA app.

ReShade/GShade .dll deleted when Sims 4 loads

The game seems to be deleting any files named dxgi.dll, d3d11.dll, and any of the other dll filenames used by gshade or reshade to hook into the game the instant it's launched. If you launch the game in windowed mode and look at the folder as the game launches, you can see the files immediately get deleted for no good reason

Oh my God! I thought it was just me! I've been trying to turn on Reshade for hours, using every method I could think of. I came here hoping for help :/

You'll need to get support from a Gshade site. It's a separate program from Sims and is not a Sims mod.

Reshade is down as well, doesn't work from start up of the game. Same for Gshade. Logs file suggests that the dll libs cannot be found (or are moved - idk)

Reshade, since 7/8, has not been working in a lot of people's games. Even though everything is installed correctly, nothing is working.

I'm having the same problem, thank goodness there's people here confirming the same issue so I know I'm not just dumb, lol.

I initially was using gshade and noticed it broke today after the hotfix. I tried everything I would normally do to fix a failed injector (adding the dll to my antivirus exceptions, installing the latest version of gshade, running the game as Admin, and so on). No luck.

Well, since gshade's been discontinued for the longest time now, I decided to switch back to reshade, figuring the latest version of reshade would work. Nope. Same problem.

What happens exactly is that the dll hook gets deleted when launching the game. Normally, it's your antivirus that will do this but I'm 99% sure it's the game itself or the EA App deleting the hook.

When todays patch (July 10th) released, it has made the EA app delete a file that G shade needs called dxgi symlink which G shade needs in order to function.

It seems as though when the EA app updated it has been deleting flies.
It has deleted "dxgi" file. One that is important to us who play the sims with Gshade/Reshade.
