romance options disabled by default and CAS will not load for played households

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.108.335.1020 DX9
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? horse ranch, wedding storires, werewolves, vintage glamour, vampires, strangerville, spooky stuff, spa day, snowy escape, seasons, romantic garden stuff, ROM, paranormal, outdoor retreat, moonlight chic, luxury party, jungle adventure, island living, holiday celibrtation, high school yrs, growing together, goth galore, get together, get to work, get famous, fitness, eco lifestyle, discover uni, dine out desert lux, cottage living, cool kitchen , city living, cats and dogs, backyard stuff, vibing streamer gear and sims 4 bonus content
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? play the game and access a played household in CAS
What happens when the bug occurs? game hangs or crashes to desktop for CAS, and all sims cas that are accessible defaulted to not looking for romance
What do you expect to see? my married sims households to be romantically interested in each other, now no romantic options, and/or coming up this sim is not interested, same goes for non married couples, but CAS will not load for all played households, NPC households fine
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I had not updated from 6/6/24, but now updated multiple patches to 7/29/24 in one go.

on playing I try to access my sims played households in CAS, game hangs and crashes to desktop, yet no issue with NPC sims in CAS, also all romance has been disabled for all households, even ones that are married as where there were romantic conversations before now none exist, below is exception when try to access a played household in CAS

    @playeranubis7 Hello, I hope I can help you somewhat resolve your issue!

    I would try repairing your game first. Go to The Sims 4 in the EA app and next to the play button should be a button called "Manage". Click on it and then on repair game. WARNING: It'll restart your EA app.

    However, it may also be a problem with EA. You could try :
    1. Clearing cache. Go to the three lines in the top left corner of the EA app, click "Help" and then "Clear Cache". WARNING : It'll restart your EA app.
    2. Restarting app. Completely close your app down and then log in again. Simple but can sometimes be all that needs to be done.
    3. See if your PC needs any updates. If it does, please make sure you update it fully.

    @playeranubis7 Hi just updated to latest version with yesterday's update now all access to CAS now broken, after update , went through repair today then opened game to worlds pane, tried to access NPC sim CAS first, hung for 30mins, had to end task to get out, I did repair and reinstall before yesterday's update, latest exception report:

    @1105Cats hi will try cache clear, there are updates for my pc, but with last windows update breaking my pc, have held off until all bugs fixed

    Hi @playeranubis7 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    Hi I have found a workaround , had to use Andirz smart sim cheats mod to clean and erase every trait and sentiment, then can access CAS in edit mode to rebuild my households, but have found now another major issue, relating club gatherings, which renders club gatherings unplayable, this I will do another post, prior to July updates game was perfect, now a broken mess, thanks all for advice
