Saves folder on computer but not showing up in game

Not sure if this is the right place to ask.

I just started downloading mods (MC Command Center and custom content) Two of my CCs weren't showing in the game. I finally found the right mods folder. (I have

lots of Electronic Arts Sims 4 folders). I moved everything from my SSD drive to my HD drive through Origin. Everything was working fine then. I started moving things around to try to get the CCs in the right folder. I don't know what happened,  but now my saved games are gone. They are on my computer, but no matter what folder I put 'saves'  in it won't show up. The game is acting like I have never played before. I'm so confused with all these folders. I need a dummy guide for everything lol!
