I downloaded the sims 4 for rent pack however I am unable to access any of it. It is saying that the pack will not be ready until it’s finished downloading. I restarted the game and checked that it is in fact installed but it won’t budge.

@ArielEni Please run a search for EP15 , which is the folder for For Rent. Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter EP15 in the search field in the upper-right corner. Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result. If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary. Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.
We had a problem with the new sims 4 for rent expansion pack it was showing as installed but not working in game. Unistalling the pack and re installing it fixed the problem

@ArielEniI have the same problem and here's what I tried so far and still no luck making the download work.
1- tried to repair the game. Didnt work
2- tried the app recovery also didnt work
3- tried uninstalling sims 4, everything downloaded EXCEPT for rent
4- tried uninstalling EA app, didnt work.
5- tried clearing EA app cache didnt work.
6- tried restarting my PC several times between all those tries.
Save yourselves some time all these dont work
UPDATE
I opened the game without the new DLC and open one of my save files, closed the game tried download FOR RENT and it work
@sickandskint Your pack looks like it's installed correctly. So please clear the EA App's cache:

Restart your computer, and repair the game: open the App game library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > Repair. Then test in-game again. And let me know how much, if any, of the content is working, for example if the items appear in CAS or Build/Buy but the world isn't accessible.
@heididog176 No, sorry, it's just the EA App not being able to handle the traffic, as usual. You can keep an eye on this thread for updates:
Purchased and downloaded the new pack, however, no content in the game loaded. No world, no CAS items, etc.
For my money I do not want to wait 3 months for it to get a fix, preferably.
