I can’t speak on the settings and woohoo, since I haven’t been having any trouble with those (I am a PC player, so that may be why), but the trash is a known bug throughout the community. I’m not sure if it’s actually a bug or if the sims team just doesn’t love us anymore, but the option to throw away items for your sims has been completely removed since the latest base game update!!
