Try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
there was an update and my steam seems to be stuck in an infinite loop of validating and patching. it’s done both of them at least twice. it’ll take 5-15 mins to validate, 5-15 to patch, then back to validate. what did i do to my game. good lord. i restarted my laptop as well and that didn’t work
