Sims won't finish or resume cooking on stove

@kphauldren In addition to the excellent suggestions & information from @Bluebellflora and @CGrant56 , did you delete the localthumbcache.package file, plus delete any other folder in the "The Sims 4” folder with the word 'cache' in the title after removing your Mods & CC?
It doesn't look like your sprinkler system is close enough to the counter to effect this, but I though I'd mention that can be placed on an outside wall so it won't interfere with your kitchen and it will be effective inside. I have noticed when I place it outside it does have a blocked area of placement and function in front of it, too.
