Unable to leave the Last name blank when adopting horses

Question

Hello! When I adopted a Rescue Horse, I wanted to remove my last name and just have the horses first name be it's only name. The confirm button remained grayed out even though the last name was optional. Is there a work around. Thanks in advance!

Edit" Not using Mods/CC at this time

@CrinI was able to change the name using testingcheats and cas.fulleditmode after the fact. But in the pop up I tried typing a name and then removing it to save. I couldn't get the pop up to accept a blank last name.
