Where to download cc after redownloading sims 4

I had to redownload the sims 4 to resolve a previous issue and I moved my cc to a separate folder to it would be saved but now I cant seem to figure out where to put my cc downloads, the sims 4 is more like a link in my file explorer and when I put it in a folder and add things to it in messes up the game and wont let me open it without repairing it first, please help! I miss my cc. The files look different from before and I'm not sure what to do :/
