First Person Controller Awareness Issue

Can someone shed light on this for me:

I have two controllers. One that came with my xbox s. When using that one, first person mode in the game works seamlessly. However, that controller has intermetent drifting issues. 

The other controller is an xbox one controller. The first person does not work seamlessly. It will not auto adjust to move with the sim. Yet, this controller doesn’t have any drifting issues.
