[FIXED] [XB] Crashing during travel, save the game, in build mode

The QA team is aware of the crashing issue for XB1.

A current issue exists that is affecting saves and can cause issues. Please check this thread and post there if this is what you are seeing: [CURRENT ISSUE] Game creating tons empty households/Save game bloat/Insane Lag

These crashes are not reproducible crashes, they happen without warning and at different times during gameplay.

This issue is most common with:

• Original XBox Consoles
• Owning a lot of packs
• Very old Saves
• Saves with lots of played households
• Lots of items in builds, including the use of lots of different packs in builds
• Lots of Sims in relationship panels of played sims because of lack of game relationship culling (Think friend of the world on a sim without aging on, etc.)
• The use of large lots (50x50, 64x64)

Deleting everything from sim and household inventories for all played sims may help with the crashing.

Saving your played sims and households/houses to the library and placing them down in a new save may help with the crashing.

The following is general troubleshooting, and may not help with this specific issue.

1. Turn off Your system completely

2. Make sure your game is up to date.

3. Make sure your Console system software is up to date. 

4. Delete your Sims 4 Auto Save

5. Uninstall and Reinstall the Game. 

@diesel2k1I played their sims for hours and it did not once crash....as soon as I play what my sims I created crashing. I think that as long as you only play their created sims/ houses the game will play. If that is the case the "create unique sims" design incredible homes" isn't true. The troubleshooting methods do not work so what are we supposed to do? Evidently I am not going crazy or a problem. We are telling the truth the game is severely broken.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try downloading a popular build from the gallery, either place it, exit to manage worlds after placing it, or trying to play in live mode on the lot on an Xbox Series S console. Note: In a brand new save, the lot is 99% going to load, in the save that I play in, trying to load the same exact build on the same exact lot crashes my game.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes and I am taken to the home screen of my Xbox Series S console.

What do you expect to see? Me being able to enjoy and play the game as intended without crashing.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never, I'm on console.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? This would happen about 70-80% of the time before patch 1.63. Back then the game was at least somewhat playable so I was able to bare with it. But after the 1.64 update the game just became completely unplayable, I can't even load 30x20 lots without crashing anymore. This game just isn't an option for me to play. No other game on my console does this but The Sims 4. I've tried every troubleshooting tip from uninstalling and reinstalling the game and all the packs to deleting my local save data and resyncing from the cloud, deleting my reserved space, hard resetting my console and leaving it for 10 minutes etc. I just want to be able to enjoy the game I've spent hundreds of dollars on, this is really depressing...

What happens when the bug occurs? My entire game crashes and takes me to my Xbox Home Screen. When I open the game back up I have to reload in as if I had restarted the game myself.
What do you expect to see? My game to not crash every time I try to travel with my family to a restaurant/work. I can’t purshase a vet clinic or anything either without the game crashing.

Please describe the patch or change you made. I redeemed my free desert luxe kit and ever since the game hasn’t worked properly.

I cannot purchase a vet clinc/restaurant/retail or travel anywhere on my save files. The crash happens 100% of the time and nothing I do helps fix the problem. I have tried making new save files and restarting my console,etc but no luck.

What do you expect to see? I just downloaded this game today since it was free on xbox, I haven't even be able to play the game yet

I get to the main page with NEW game, load game. I click load game and then it takes me to manage worlds and I click on a family/household to load. Then the page will load until about 95-99% and crash then take me to the XBOX home page. This issue has been going on for 2 weeks and you guys closed the other thread saying it was solved.

This issue is not solved and I've already done everything I can on my end, I've uninstalled all the add-ons, base game, deleted my files from the console, and recovered them via the cloud but nothing works-- so I don't know what the problem is. Also, the only time I got it to load the entire house was black (floors, walls, people) which made it impossible to click on anything. PLEASE STOP making new content if you all cannot maintain the packs you've already released; at this point, you all have bitten off more than you can chew.

7. Steps: Just try to open a saved file and watch it crash before loading fully.
8. What happens when the bug occurs? I get to the main page with a NEW game, load game, scenarios, and options. I click load game, click the save file I prefer, then it takes me to manage worlds and I click on the family/household I always use. From there, the page will load until about 95-99% and then crash the entire game and take me to the XBOX home page. This issue has been going on for two weeks (started 10/7) and you guys closed the larger thread saying it was solved. However, this issue is not solved and I've already done everything I can on my end, I've uninstalled the base game, add-ons, and Xbox files and retrieved them via the cloud, and I don't know what the problem is.  Additionally, the only time I got it to load the entire house was black (floors, walls, people) which made it impossible to click on anything.

We have sims 4 for Xbox one with just about all expansions. The sims was working fine, was working on the 26 generations achievement. All of a sudden the last 24 hrs it has randomly started closing, without any errors popping up. We can only play about 10 minutes before it happens.

we’ve tried power cycling, deleting local save and then loading the cloud save, deleting the profile off of the Xbox and getting it back on, but nothing is working.

is there any fix for this yet??

So the Sims 4 crashes every time I load play mode on XBOX one and XBOX one S consoles after the most recent update on November 1st, 2022. Cannot switch households, cannot visit any location, cannot load play mode. I have done all troubleshooting options for XBOX consoles and the same issue persists. It happens on my XBOX one and my XBOX one S. It happens on different profiles. Haven't been able to play since this update. 😢

Hi everyone. I apologize if i'm posting this in the wrong form. This is my first post. I am an xbox one user and have been playing sims 4 on it. Long story short, the game keeps crashing to the xbox home screen. I get past the sims home screen then click resume or my save files and as soon as it's loaded and plays the ending loading song, it crashes to the xbox home screen ☹️ I am so lost I don't know what to do. I've reached out on twitter and it seems that other xbox one users are having the same issue. I'm really sad because I bought two packs recently and can't even play them. Here are all of the things i've done so far

I unistalled/ reinstalled the game, and all of the expansions,

I cleared the cache and the mac alternate address

, I tried different save files,

I deleted some save files. 

My game and xbox are all up to date on software 

Hard restart my xbox 

Again, sorry if this is in the wrong spot (please let me know if there is a different form i should post this on). I just really need help. Any advice from anyone or someone on the game team for sims. Sims is an escape for me. Life's been rough lately and it's really hard not being able to play it.
