    Hey all,

    This issue was resolved in Patch 1.70.

    Please be sure to fully close and update your game- if you're still having crashing issues once your game is fully updated, please create a new thread here so we can investigate further.

I’m not really sure how this things works, so I will ask you since you seem to be the only one responding. Is someone from EA going to look into this and work on a solution?  It seems really disheartening that no one from EA is responding to this and it has been two months on this post and TWO YEARS on the previous thread that this was discussed on.  The problem was so prevalent that I just uninstalled university and play the game with less crashes (though they do happen still).  I should try to get my money back but if EA doesn’t care enough to even send one person to respond to this then why would they care about offering a refund on a clearly broken product.

Hi @gators82577,

There are EA staff on the forums like myself but we aren't able to respond to every post to confirm we've seen it and are looking into things. That doesn't mean we're not though. 🙂

Can you share where and what you're doing in-game when the game crashes for you so we can try to reproduce it. And does it always crash at the same point?

Edit to add: does this also happen when you take your pet to visit the vets?

    What additional information do you need?  I provided a video showing it happen, an entire thread of people explaining that the same thing happened to them (a thread you closed as solved for some strange reason), and a description of the scenario as the original post to this thread.  Please give me something specific that the team would need to know and I will do my best to provide it. 

    Edit: to answer your edit question: sometimes it does but that isn’t the only thing that causes the crash, seemingly it is whenever you’re trying to leave the home lot to travel somewhere else.

      What is your current game version number? X
      What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? City living, Cats and dogs, Vampires, Tiny living, Laundry day stuff, Glamour stuff, Eco lifestyle
      Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply play and play and suddenly without warning the game will close.
      What happens when the bug occurs? The game simply closes.
      What do you expect to see? The game not to close randomely.
      Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
      Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

      Dear fellow simmers, 

      Is it just me having problem with sims 4 on xbox one today? Its working fine then will randomely close on me from time to time. Then I start it again, its ok and it will close again. Anyone else experiencing this?

      I got eco lifestyle when came out and there was no problem at all it appeared only today.

      So you guys have any advise for me maybe?

        Could you uninstall "Eco Living" then reinstall it and see if the issue still occurs?

      What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All stuff packs, game packs, and expansion packs are installed
      Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It’s in live mode
      What happens when the bug occurs? I can’t click on any any objects or sims, and it won’t load anything it just keeps crashing
      What do you expect to see? It’s crashes
      Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
      Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

      Everytime I open my sims game and get to live mode it won’t let me click on anything, and when it does no options pop up, it won’t let me save, and then it crashes.

        Hi there,

        Is this issue still occurring for you? 

        If so, could you perform a hard reboot of your console to clear your cache?

        Xbox One Hard Reset:

        1. Holding the power button down for 10 seconds while the system is on will perform a hard reset.
        2. The Xbox One Will Switch Off.
        3. Power on the Xbox One again. You’ll see a green start-up screen.
        4. All your data is preserved, but the cache will be cleared and settings may reset

        If this doesn't fix your issue then you might try uninstalling then reinstalling the base game and all the packs and see if that solves your problem.

        Hopefully one of these two will fix the crash issue.

        If not, then we will need to investigate more of what is going on.

Bowling night stuff Cats and dogs City living Discover university Get famous Get to work Island living Laundry day Outdoor retreat Parenthood Seasons Tiny living Vampires Eco lifestyle (currently not installed due to crash issue)
      Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Eco lifestyle happens randomly in game play approx 20 mins into game doesn’t matter what I’m doing there will be a sudden buzzing noise then it freezes and logs out to Xbox home screen and loose all game progress to last save
      What happens when the bug occurs? Loud buzzing then freeze then auto logs out to Xbox home screen
      What do you expect to see? Expect game to work without making odd noises and being logged out
      Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
      Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
      Please describe the patch or change you made. Only happened since installed eco lifestyle does not occur when eco lifestyle is uninstalled

      We are desperate for help on this as currently can’t use pack at all in game

        After a month of not being able to play after installing Eco Lifestyle, I saved my house and my household to my library and started a new save. I was able to keep my progress and simoleons but lost my inventory. Maybe this will help.

    Has their been an update on this?  It has been months and this problem still exists. I haven’t had anyone reach out to me for further context so I figured I’d ask before losing complete faith in EA.
