For Rent on Xbox One

I recently bought For Rent during the Christmas/new years sale and it’s been unplayable somewhat. At first I thought I couldn’t figure it out and that I was doing something wrong so I turned to the Facebook groups I’m in for the sims and I had a few people agree. The problem is that I cannot move a second family in to a duplex/townhouse using the rental system. It works in the premade houses in Tomerang but when I build/place lot from the gallery I can only move one family in. I will attach my original Facebook post explaining more.
