Game unplayable since update

Hello all, I am posting this because I really need some help, ever since the last update for the 25th anniversary of the sims (the update that changed the main menu screen) my game is so messed up I cannot play it. Every single time I go into buy or build mode in every single saved file I have the entire game crashed and takes me to the main Xbox screen. This has happened about 5 or 6 times and it doesn’t just suck the fun out of my game, it makes me want to not even bother trying to play it anymore. Which is really sad because it’s always been my favorite. Can someone please help me with this ? Here’s some extra info incase it’s needed: Xbox series X, expansions: island living, snowy escape, and jungle adventure & the pack that has Windenburg (sorry I’m drawing a blank on the name) hoping someone can help me save my game and all my cute little sims :( thanks
