I am on xbox. For the past few months, sometimes when I want to save it begins the process of saving, then partway thru that I get the "were adjusting your graphics settings so you can continue to enjoy playing the sims 4" message. I have had to start new save files four times in the last six months because of obvious save data corruption, and the symptoms of the data corruption don't appear until after the game starts doing this. Also, once I get the graphics whatever screen during the process of saving, the next time I try to go to manage worlds, CAS, or visit another lot, my game crashes. It does not seem to cause problems with travel when the graphics adjustment happens when I'm not in the middle of saving. Half the time, nothing even changes about my graphics.
This is ruining the game for me having to start over all the time, can't they just make it so the game can't run ANY other process during saving??
The exact same thing is happening to me right now, whenever I've been saving my file before leaving, it gives me the same exact pop up about them "fixing the graphics". Maybe like a week or 2 ago, I'm playing my save file and realize that even though I'm playing the save file, its not there on my saved games when i try to save it. So then I just had to create a new file so it would save the game, which i thought fixed everything. But today, I open my game and the save file is completely gone. Idk what to do and I had been playing with that save file for YEARS. I'm so completely angry and confused, EA needs to fix this. Like genuinely.
this happens to me too!! It’s been happening for a long time now, I don’t even remember when it started. I agree that the game becomes unplayable (for me usually after the second time the adjustment screen has popped up) because the game becomes too blurry. Specifically on clutter items, sims skin details and tattoos and wallpapers. I have only really been playing in my Legacy save over the last year or so and I love to decorate their houses with lots of stuff so when this screen pops I get really disappointed. This pop up means that I can only play for 3-4hr before the game becomes so ugly that I loose interest. I don’t wanna delete my save or change my game because I’ve been playing since about 2019 and it is my fav game. I’m really upset by how often console players are ignored too :(( definitely feels like PC players get priority
