My sims 4 build mode on Xbox 1 is not working, my arrow thing won’t work it just let me scroll. I can place and item but once I do I can’t delete or move it , I have to bulldoze the lot and start all over! Is this a bug or is it happening to anyone else ?? HELP PLEASE!

Sorry, what exactly do you mean by the arrow isn't working?
As for the other issue you're seeing- are you playing with a mouse and keyboard, or do you use a controller?
For me, I play with a controller on PS4, I’ve had this issue a few times since the console update. I can access and scroll through the build/buy catalog and the surrounding HUD but once I place something I can’t use the curser to pick it back up again. I can’t click on anything except the catalog and the upper stuff like the eye dropper, sledge hammer etc. I can also click on live mode. The gallery and manage worlds but clicking on the curser won’t work. I have to quit without saving and go back in for it to work.
I’m having the same problem(ps4). I’ve noticed, for me, it tends to happen when I place a saved lot from my library or from the gallery. I’ve been able to “fix” it by going to live mode and back to build mode.
