X Button not working after glitchy pause

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When starting the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens, the game is unresponsive at the "Press X to Start" screen.
What do you expect to see? The game to load.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
The game was paused then kept randomly glitching and unpausing but in fast forward mode. I saved and restarted the game but now when it loads up and says "Press X to start" nothing happens when I press X. The X Button obviously works as it let me choose my profile and choose the game to start it up, it's only at that screen. This happens even after turning the console off and back on again.

1. Turn off Your system completely, let it sit for a few minutes and power it back on.
2. Make sure your game is up to date.
- Go to the PlayStation home screen.
- Highlight the game you're playing and press the Options button on your controller.
- Select "Check For Update" and install any updates that are available.
- Restart the Console completely.
3. Make sure your console system software is up to date.
- Select Settings at the top of the PlayStation home screen.
- Choose "System Software Update" and allow any system updates to install.
- Reboot your PlayStation.
4. Uninstall and Reinstall the game:
- Go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Delete.
- Select a game or application.
- Set check marks beside the data you wish to delete or Select All.
- Select Delete > then OK to confirm your decision.
